How we work.

Care about the work.
Care about each other.

Good work takes curiosity, honest feedback and people who look out for each other. These expectations apply to everyone here, including leadership.

Take kids seriously.

Listen to how children see the world. Make things they can recognize themselves in, and leave room for the grown-ups to be surprised, too.

Know your craft.

Bring depth in what you do and curiosity about what you don’t know. Share your knowledge, ask for help and learn from each other.

Be good to people.

Be direct. Give credit. Treat people with respect, especially under pressure. Talent never excuses making someone else feel small.

Bring a better idea.

Bring evidence, experience or a thoughtful question. We welcome disagreement, including with leadership. Listening, explaining our reasoning and changing our minds go both ways.

Your time matters.

We agree on the work. Finishing early doesn’t mean more gets piled on. Intense stretches are exceptional; leaders share the effort and protect recovery afterward.

Keep a little play.

Make room for curiosity, odd ideas and a good laugh. Join in your own way. There’s room for your own interests and dreams beyond work.
